The bus loop at the Medical Center Metro Station will be closed on select Sundays through spring 2026 due to Metrorail construction, affecting Montgomery County Ride On Routes 34 and 46. During the closures, buses will be rerouted to stops along Rockville Pike, while other Ride On routes that do not operate on Sundays will not be impacted.

The Montgomery County Police Department has released addition information regarding a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The victim, 63-year-old Charles Anthony Hawkins of Rockville, was killed in the crash. (more…)


On Thursday, October 2, Wootton Robotics, in partnership with Bonchon Rockville, held a Robotics Fair at Rockville Town Center. The event featured robotics mini games, Build Your Bots and Battle Bots tournaments, and live music, offering young participants a hands-on introduction to robotics and the FIRST Tech Challenge program. Update: The incident was initially reported by MCPD as a crash involving a cyclist, but a later update clarified that the crash involved a motorcyclist.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) announced that eastbound Montrose Rd. is closed at Tildenwood Dr. following a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a motorcyclist Sunday morning.


After a few months of no movement, Dave’s Hot Chicken is officially on its way to Rockville, with “Coming Soon” signage now up at its second Montgomery County location. The California-based chain, which made its county debut in White Oak in November 2024, will soon open at 11564 Rockville Pike in the Metro Pike Shopping Center. An exact date is not yet available.
