Bao Bei has announced it will close its ghost kitchen at 11910 Parklawn Drive on August 1, after three years of service. Update: The restaurant has reached out to let us know an internet installation delay is forcing them to postpone the soft opening until August 5th.

Dolan Uyghur Cuisine, a highly anticipated addition to the Montgomery County dining scene since we shared the news a few weeks back, is set to hold its soft opening on Tuesday, August 5th. The restaurant, which specializes in authentic Uyghur dishes from Central Asia, will be located at 20-A Maryland Ave in Rockville, within The Square at Rockville, in the space formerly occupied by Kung Fu Kitchen and Peter Chang Rockville.


A new chapter of inclusive employment is unfolding in Rockville as several graduates from Sunflower Bakery’s renowned training programs have been successfully hired by the eagerly anticipated new Wegmans supermarket. This exciting development highlights the power of specialized training and community partnerships in creating meaningful career opportunities for young adults with learning differences.

Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Laboratory to be Named for Laurence and Fern Bensignor

A family who benefited from life-saving heart care at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center has made a significant donation to the new cardiovascular treatment lab under construction at the hospital. Laurence (Larry) and Fern Bensignor are so grateful for the exceptional care Larry received that they have given a substantial immediate contribution, as well as a generous deferred gift through Larry’s estate.


For nearly three decades, Asif “Trey” Rahman, a familiar name in Rockville and now Potomac, dedicated his career to public service in the Department of Defense while passionately shaping young athletes’ lives on the basketball court. However, a significant turning point arrived earlier this year when widespread layoffs across the federal government led to Rahman’s unexpected departure from his long-held government position. This challenge, rather than a setback, ignited a career pivot, transforming a beloved weekend hobby into The Burger Coach, a community-focused culinary venture.
