For nearly three decades, Asif “Trey” Rahman, a familiar name in Rockville and now Potomac, dedicated his career to public service in the Department of Defense while passionately shaping young athletes’ lives on the basketball court. However, a significant turning point arrived earlier this year when widespread layoffs across the federal government led to Rahman’s unexpected departure from his long-held government position.
