Signage is up for Mojitos Bar & Grill at 8035-D Snouffer School Rd in Gaithersburg. The restaurant is taking over the space that was recently home to Moonlight Sports Bar and previously Buffalo Wings & Beer.

Eater DC has released its list of ‘Standout Sushi Around DC’ that includes restaurants primarily in DC, one in Northern Virginia, and two in Maryland– both located right here in Montgomery County.
Back in June, MOD Pizza closed its location at 12027 Rockville Pike (Montrose Crossing). The closure came approximately three months after the Kentlands location closed and a few months after the announcement that its Downtown Silver Spring location at 909 Ellsworth Dr Suite B106 would not be reopening after closing in the summer of 2023 due plumbing issues. Now, its replacement at Montrose Crossing has signed on.

Update: Olney Winery announced a permanent closure on Friday, December 13th.
Olney Winery, located at 52 Olney Sandy Spring Rd. in Ashton, has closed until further notice according to a social media post shared late last week.
Last December we let you know that Nash & Smash, a restaurant that serves Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, is coming soon to MoCo. Construction began this spring and permanent signage went up in the early summer, but there has been much heard about its opening…until now.
In September, we reported that the team behind popular local spots like Melina, Julii, Cava Mezze, and the soon-to-open Bouboulina would be taking over the former Renato’s restaurant space at 10120 River Rd in the Potomac Village Shopping Center. (more…)
