In July we let you know that the Best Buy space located at 15750 Shady Grove Rd. in Gaithersburg’s 270 Center will be “coming available” on February 1st 2025. Store employees have confirmed that it will be closing on October 26th, 2024 (approximately thirty years after the store initially opened the location in the mid 90s).
Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings will open its third Germantown location and sixth overall in Montgomery County at 9721 Frederick Rd. (formerly a standalone Verizon store) in the Fox Chapel shopping center this Tuesday, September 17, at 10 a.m.

Chickenjoy fans rejoice! Jollibee’s signature fried chicken, Chickenjoy, was ranked first in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Fast Food Fried Chicken this summer, edging out other major chains like Popeyes, Pollo Campero, and Bojangles to top the list.
Takito by Taco Bar will hold its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Monday, September 16th at 11am at 812 Frederick Street in Hagerstown. The restaurant got its start in Montgomery County prior to expanding to Frederick County and now Washington County.

Bangkok Garden has leased the space that was the longtime home of Good Fortune Cafe in Kentlands Square. Good Fortune Cafe, which has been serving the area since 1994 (according to its website), closed in August and is planning to return to a new location (news coming soon).
Palacio De Peru is set to open at 19222 Montgomery Village Ave in the Montgomery Village Center, taking over the space previously occupied by Moe’s Southwest Grill, which closed at the end of August.
