The Nibbler has permanently closed its dine-in location at 18556 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg. The restaurant, which served Peruvian and international cuisine, announced the closure in a social media post on January 24, citing a transition to a new business model. (more…)

Koi Sushi is now open at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg (201 Boardwalk Place), bringing a contemporary Japanese dining concept to one of Montgomery County’s busiest mixed-use destinations. Montgomery County’s only two-story McDonald’s is set to receive a notable upgrade focused on improving the drive-thru experience.
Coming Soon signage is now up for a new Goodwill location in Rockville. Back in December, we reported that Goodwill was set to take over the space most recently occupied by Planet Aid at the Montrose Shopping Center, the longtime shopping center anchored by MOM’s Organic Market. The storefront, located at 5520 Randolph Road, is now clearly marked as an upcoming Goodwill.
McDonald’s has now confirmed an exact closing date for its longtime Derwood location. The McDonald’s at 7200 Muncaster Mill Road in the Red Mill Shops shopping center is scheduled to permanently close on March 15, ending a run that spans multiple fast-food restaurant eras at the site.
Dollar Tree has opened a new store at 20906 Frederick Road, Suite A, in Germantown, taking over the former Staples space that closed in August. (more…)
