Last October we let you know that Kusshi Sushi officially signed on to take over the space that was home to popular sushi restaurant Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square for over 15 years. The restaurant is now open, currently in a “soft opening phase” open from 11am until midnight.
Multiple Maryland restaurants made the latest Eater DC list pointing diners toward the 15 most intriguing or otherwise buzzworthy new restaurants in the D.C. area. In this situation, they’re all in one place– the new Solaire Social food hall at 8200 Dixon Ave in Silver Spring.

Hard Times Cafe at 1117 Nelson St in Rockville will officially reopen on Friday, July 5th. From July 5th to 7th, the restaurant will be open for dinner service only (4pm-8pm). It will resume normal operating hours (11:30am-8pm) starting July 9th. The restaurant remains closed on Mondays.

TaKorean has closed its Kentlands location after a little more than a year at 261 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood.

Dave & Buster’s officially opened its Rio location at 9811 Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg in July 2019. The restaurant/entertainment center has just celebrated five years and will be getting approximately $700K in upgrades/renovations.
Java Fresh Café is now open in the Westfield Wheaton Mall food court. The kiosk serves hot and cold coffee, baked goods, ice cream, smoothies, and fruit bowls.
