Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen has signed on to open a new restaurant at Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront. At this time, it’s unclear which space Kareem’s will be taking, but we will update with that information as soon as it becomes available.

Pike & Rose is a 24-acre, transit-oriented neighborhood including more than 50 tenants of retail space. The current selection of restaurants (including Summer House Santa Monica, Fogo de Chao, &pizza, sweetgreen and Julii), retailers (including REI, Sephora, L.L.Bean and Sur La Table, Uniqlo), a Porsche dealership, and entertainment offerings (iPic Theaters, Pinstripes and AMP by Strathmore) have created what many view as one of the county’s top retail environments. In October we let you know that Japanese retailer UNIQLO is coming to Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) in Bethesda. Last month we know the retailer has received a permit valued at $1.425 million to build out the store, and now we know the store is aiming for a late spring opening, according to a representative from the Downtown Silver Spring location.

Federal Realty has announced recently opened and soon-to-open establishments for Bethesda Row, located at the intersection of Bethesda Avenue and Arlington Road in Bethesda, MD. Celebrating 30 years in 2024, the Bethesda Row neighborhood is home to restaurants and retail with a total of 536,000 square feet of mixed-use space.

Back in May 2024, we told you that Chef Wang Kitchen would be coming to 199 E Montgomery Ave in Rockville Town Center– the former location of California Tortilla. The restaurant is now open.
