Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a water rescue in the area of Hillwood Manor Park (1300 Elson St), off of 13th street near Linden Lane, on Tuesday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the area of the 300blk of University Blvd E, near E Franklin Av, for smoke near Eastern Middle School. Once there, it was realized the smoke was coming from the school building that was home to Joann Leleck Elementary School at 710 Beacon Rd. in Silver Spring.

The City of Takoma Park Police Department has announced the implementation of a Red-Light Camera Enforcement Program for what the department describes as an effort to enhance traffic safety and reduce the risk of accidents caused by red-light violations. “This initiative aims to deter dangerous driving behavior, improve compliance with traffic signals, and ultimately save lives.”

The Takoma Park Police Department has shared that “Last night, two dogs were found unattended in the 6800 block of Laurel Avenue. They were safely picked up by Animal Services and are currently in good care.”
