Kyriakos Savvas “Jerry” Tselios, a former co-owner of the longtime Wheaton staple Ferdinand’s Restaurant and a cherished member of the local Greek community, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025. He was 77.

Wheaton High School head football coach Jermaine Howell has been named the Washington Commanders’ High School Coach of the Week. Howell, who has spent decades coaching and mentoring student-athletes in Montgomery County, was recognized for his leadership, commitment to his players, and impact on the Wheaton community.
