The community is supporting the family of Chase Lancaster, a Seneca Valley High School (Germantown) student who was shot on August 9th while shielding a teenage girl he had never met before when gunshots broke out at a party in Urbana, according to an interview with NBC4’s Aimee Cho. Chase has since undergone 14 surgeries and recently opened his eyes for the first time.

Adi Yousef Najjar, a 65-year-old tutor from Germantown, was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor and other sex offenses, with detectives urging potential additional victims to come forward after allegations of abuse between September 2022 and June 2024. (more…)

Construction is complete at Neelsville Middle School, located at 11700 Neelsville Church Rd in Germantown, with students ready to return to school on Monday.
Montgomery County Police arrested four suspects, including at least two juveniles, after a shooting in Germantown led to a vehicle pursuit in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village, during which two handguns were recovered.
