Maryland SoccerPlex Gathering Feedback For Possible Rebrand

Many in Montgomery County have enjoyed the Maryland SoccerPlex since it opened nearly 25 years ago at 18031 Central Park Circle in Boyds, MD, welcoming over 1 million visitors annually. Now, the SoccerPlex is gathering feedback for a possible rebrand. “This survey is specifically gathering insights from Montgomery County residents to ensure we reflect the preferences and needs of the people who use our facilities most. Your honest answers will help shape future changes that could have a meaningful impact on the sports and activities offered in our community.”

Montgomery Village, MD native and University of Maryland standout Kaden Prather took a significant step toward his NFL aspirations this week, participating in the Washington Commanders’ local pro day on Tuesday. The Terrapins wide receiver, a product of Germantown’s Northwest High School, brings a decorated college resume and hometown pride to the draft process.

Father Sentenced to 14 Years for Abusing Five-Month-Old Baby

Oliver Hernandez-Caballero, 26, of Damascus, was sentenced to 25 years in prison, suspending all but 14 years, plus five years of supervised probation, following his conviction for first-degree child abuse of his five-month-old baby. (more…)
