Peter Mason by Montgomery Custom Tailors is set to open soon on the lower level of Montgomery Mall, across from the Cheesecake Factory. The shop is being launched by Peter and Lisa Lim, who also own Montgomery Custom Tailors, located nearby on the lower level near the escalator to the food court, close to Lucky Strike.

Montgomery County Council Vice President Kate Stewart, along with County Executive Marc Elrich and other officials, will hold a press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 10, to reaffirm the County’s commitment to protecting reproductive rights, coinciding with a Council vote on a resolution supporting abortion rights and a Maryland constitutional amendment to safeguard reproductive freedom. General admission is $25 per person, which includes chili tastings. Free Admission for kids under 18, Police Officers and their Family is provided by MCPF). All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s mission to strengthen community-police relationships, support officers wellness, and enhance public safety initiatives across Montgomery County.

In addition to delicious chili, attendees can enjoy local craft beer from Lone Oak Brewery, family activities, and opportunities to meet and interact with Montgomery County police officers in a fun, relaxed setting.

The MCPS Social Studies team is hosting a series of Curriculum Night webinars for families to learn more about how social studies is taught in MCPS and how its curricula in kindergarten through 11th grade incorporate the history of various ethnic and cultural groups.
