The Montgomery County Planning Board and the Montgomery County Planning Department announced their September 2025 calendar of events and meetings.
Nearly 160,000 students returnee to school on Tuesday, Aug. 26 for the start of the 2025–2026 school year. MCPS has shared that there are 24 new principals (or new to their school) who are excited to meet their students and families. The following was shared in the MCPS Staff Bulletin:

Bao Bei is now open at 12055 Rockville Pike in the Montrose Crossing shopping center. The fast-casual restaurant is serving up authentic Taiwanese street food. Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District officers are on the scene of an assault, preliminarily reported as a stabbing, at the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive in Silver Spring on Thursday afternoon.
Program Overview
This 6 week Saturday tennis clinic is designed for middle school players who want to learn and improve their tennis skills in a fun and supportive environment. Players will build confidence on the court while developing strong fundamentals and enjoying the game with other students.
