Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown announced a Final Order against Heather and Ryan Delaney of Maryland State Doulas, LLC for violating the Consumer Protection Act by accepting payments for doula services they failed to provide. The order includes a $606,500 penalty, restitution to affected consumers, and a requirement to post a $250,000 bond before accepting future payments.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications for its second year of outdoor equity grants, which fund programs that expand access to outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and boating in underserved communities. Eligible organizations, including nonprofits, schools, and government agencies, can apply through June 30, 2025, with funding provided by the Great Maryland Outdoors Act of 2022.

Metro is reminding customers of a new systemwide banning policy that took effect this week. The purpose of the banning policy is to prohibit a person who commits a sex crime or a sex-related crime, anyone who violates Metro’s Passenger Conduct Rule, or a person who commits any assault on a Metro employee, contractor, or customer from entering or using the Metro system, properties, or facilities for more than 24 hours.
