Keith Lester has been in the special education field for nearly 2 decades– supporting students in various levels as a 1:1, assistant teacher, behavior specialist, and vocational coordinator.
He’s currently a teacher in the Model Asperger Program at the Ivymount School where he teaches social skills. In his spare time, he coach CYO basketball and privately teach social skills for Young & Well. He’s often faced with the challenge of not having an environment for his clients/students to practice learned strategies on a regular basis and more importantly, in real life settings.

In 1966, 18-year old Rico Campanero arrived in the United States from Italy, having never given a single haircut. But in 1968 he purchased his first barber shop – Rocco’s located in Silver Spring. Now, six salons later (including locations in Lake Forest Mall and Frederick), 71-year-old Rico, his wife Grace and two of his three children, Attilio and Silia (graduates of Watkins Mill High School) have relocated Illusions Hair Studio from Montgomery Village to Quince Orchard Plaza in Gaithersburg, Maryland due to construction and redevelopment of the Montgomery Village shopping center.
The Magruder Girls Varsity volleyball team won the 3A state championship with a 25-0 record. The team consistently played at an extremely high level, winning 69 sets and losing only 5. Along the way the team set several school records for volleyball including: most wins, highest win percentage for sets won/lost, kills in a season, attack percentage and passing percentage.
MoCo’s Whitman boys soccer defeated Leonardtown 3-1 last night to win the Maryland State championship for the second year in a row.
Whitman boys soccer has now won 11 state championships in program history and 7 under Coach Dave Greene.
