Grilled Oyster Co. in Gaithersburg to Open This Week
The Grilled Oyster Co., which closed its Potomac location back in April, has announced they will be opening their new location at 200 Main St. in the Kentlands (formerly Batik Dumpling Bar), sometime this week.

Bangkok Garden in Bethesda to Close at the End of This Month
Bangkok Garden at 4906 St Elmo Ave in Bethesda announced today that they will be closing the restaurant on August 29. The Rockville location at 891 Rockville Pike will continue to remain open.

After many delays we have learned that the restaurant is back on track to open, as they currently have a hearing to sell beer and wine scheduled for 10am on September 2nd.
Back in January we let you know that Berries & Bowls, the “Superfood Cafe” would open its second location at 4961 Elm St. in Bethesda– the former home of Spring Mill Bread Co.
Signage is now up and construction is finishing up, as Berries & Bowls hopes to open its new location in the first half of August.
Bonjour Waffles is Now Open at Wheaton Mall
Bonjour Waffles has signed a two year lease at Westfield Wheaton mall. It’s located on the first floor at the kiosk formerly occupied by Dippin’ Dots.
Update on JAVA Nation in the Kentlands
JAVA Nation, which has locations in Kensington and North Bethesda, tells us that they are now looking at an October opening for their new Gaithersburg shop. Originally looking at an August opening, there have been material and equipment delays by manufacturers.
Wayback Burgers, a fast-casual burger chain based out of Connecticut, is coming to Montgomery County with a new location in Gaithersburg.
Construction on the restaurant begins today. It will be located at The Shops of Potomac Valley shopping center at 12121 Darnestown Rd. in the location that was formerly home to an AT&T store and a tanning salon before that.
