MoCo Police

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Ashley Nicole Hernandez was last seen leaving her residence in the 2300 block of Spencerville Rd.

Hernandez is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. She has short blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a burgundy shirt, a blue North Face sweater with a bear on it, black pants and black Adidas shoes. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Germantown

Azevedo is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater tied around her waist, green leggings and white Fila sneakers. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Silver Spring

Orellana Ventura was last seen on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive in Silver Spring.

Orellana Ventura is approximately 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black jean shorts.  Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Colesville

The initial investigation has revealed that a gray 2009 Mazda 5 minivan was traveling east in the 1600 block of East Randolph Road when it crossed the centerline and struck a white 2015 Toyota Highlander. The driver of the Highlander was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mazda was transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead. The decedent has been identified as 41-year-old, Edwin Enrique Mejia Dubon, of Riverdale.


Glenmont

The preliminary investigation by detectives determined that a dark red or maroon 2003-2007 Honda Accord, was traveling south on Georgia Ave., when it struck a 19-year-old male bicyclist, that was traveling west across the roadway. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The vehicle did not remain on scene.

Detectives are currently searching for the striking vehicle, which has damage to the front right bumper and is missing the right side view mirror. Gaithersburg

The Montgomery County Police Department – Autism/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Unit will be conducting a driver safety course on Tuesday, November 1, from 2-6pm at Public Safety Headquarters (100 Edison Park Drive) in Gaithersburg to teach those with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities the importance of being a safe driver and what to do if they are pulled over or in an accident.  Per MCPD:

The Montgomery County Autism/IDD Unit was established in 2004 and provides a broad approach to safety and action, along with awareness, for those with autism and other intellectual disabilities.”


Silver Spring

At approximately 10:36 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the intersection of Fenton St. and Ellsworth Dr. for the report of shots fired.

The preliminary investigation by detectives has determined that two Black males were shooting at one another. During the shooting, a commercial business was struck by a bullet, as well as a car driving on Fenton St. toward Ellsworth Dr.


Gaithersburg

At approximately 8:42 p.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a pedestrian struck. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

For reasons still under investigation, the victim, who was located in the roadway, was hit by a red Saturn Aura. The driver of the Saturn remained on scene following the collision. CRU detectives are working to locate the victim’s next of kin. His name will be released following proper notification of next of kin.


North Bethesda

Montgomery County Police are investigating a report of shots fired that occurred Sunday night in the Pike & Rose area of North Bethesda.  According to MCPD,  “At approximately 9:16 p.m., on Sunday, October 23, 2022, Montgomery County Police responded to the 11500 block of Old Georgetown Rd for a report of shots fired. No injuries were reported and there are no suspects in custody. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

SHOTS FIRED AT PIKE & ROSE: ~9:10PM Sunday in the area of Grand Park Ave & Old G'Town Rd. Dispute/minor altercation resulted in shots being fired; at least 1 bullet found inside Sports & Social Bethesda (sports bar) in addition to evidence outside. As of now, nobody found shot…


Colesville

 At approximately 9:12 a.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of Randolph Road and Hammonton Place for the report of a traffic collision involving two vehicles.   The driver of the Chevy Silverado was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the Honda CRV was pronounced dead at the scene.  

 A formal news release will be distributed as more information becomes available. The decedent’s name will be released following proper notification of next of kin.”


Glenmont

A 19-year-old male was located at the scene and transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The striking vehicle did not remain on scene. Preliminarily, CRU detectives believe the striking vehicle may be a dark red or maroon 2003-2007 Honda Accord, which is missing a side view mirror.  A formal news release will be distributed as more information becomes available.”
