Ten Montgomery County Public Libraries Offer Free Outdoor Public Wi-Fi
Montgomery County has leveraged federal COVID-19 funding to install outdoor public Wi-Fi at 10 Public Library (MCPL) locations: Aspen Hill, Davis (N. Bethesda), Gaithersburg, Germantown, Maggie Nightingale (Poolesville), Marilyn Praisner (Burtonsville), Rockville Memorial, Twinbrook, Wheaton, and White Oak branches; and in front of the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza.
New Retail Development Coming to Kensington
Site plans are being developed for Kensington Crossing, a new retail development that will be located at 10619 Connecticut Avenue (at Plyers Mill Road) in Kensington
After 23 years on-air, WAMU announced Wednesday that “The Kojo Nnamdi Show” will air its last live show on April 1, 2021.
WAMU reported that the host Kojo Nnamdi expressed his wishes to step back from his normal duties at the radio station last year. The popular radio host will continue to host WAMU’s “The Politics Hour” with resident analyst Tom Sherwood. Nnamdi will also continue to host his show “Kojo In Our Community,” focusing on local issues and communities.

$1 billion relief act will provide a direct stimulus payment for low-to-moderate income residents– $750 for families, and $450 for individuals.
Taco Bamba is Coming to MoCo!
Chef Victor Albisu announces that the first Maryland location of Taco Bamba will open in Rockville’s Congressional Plaza in Spring 2021. The cult favorite takeout taqueria’s sixth location will be located at 1627 Rockville Pike in a 2,766-square-foot space designed by Swatchroom’s Maggie O’Neill.
