Dozens of MCPS Seniors Recognized at the 21st annual Superintendent’s All-County Fine Arts Awards Gala on May 23

Dozens of MCPS high school seniors were recognized for their accomplishments in dance and theatre at the 21st annual Superintendent’s All-County Fine Arts Awards Gala on May 23 at Seneca Valley High School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Per MCPS: The event featured musical and dance performances from four high schools, plus the All-County Dance Ensemble—

  • The Gaitherburg Chamber Singers performed Lord If I Got My Ticket by Sheldon Curry
  • The Northwood Dance program presented Everybody Wants to Rule The World by Lorde from “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack
  • Albert Einstein performed Urinetown, published by Music Theatre International and “The Cop Song”
  • The MCPS All-County Dance Ensemble presented Phototaxis, choreographed to the CJ FXTC club mix of Janet Jackson’s That’s the Way Love Goes
  • The Winston Churchill Chamber Orchestra performed El Tango de Roxanne, arranged by Kristofer Sanz
