Event rescheduled for the rain date, Saturday, April 22, 2023, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, is postponing the planned celebration of the newly renovated Silver Spring Intermediate Park, due to forecasted rain.

Silver Spring Intermediate Neighborhood Park sits on more than three and a half acres in Takoma Park, near Montgomery College’s Takoma Park campus. The celebration next week will include a brief speaking program and ribbon cutting, after which the community will enjoy refreshments and self-guided activities such as cornhole, kite flying and bubbles, in the updated park.
