The Comus Inn to Reopen This Spring

Last year, The Comus Inn (23900 Old Hundred Rd, Dickerson) announced that it had been sold and would be closing on November 26th, with new ownership taking over in December.

On Tuesday, the restaurant announced on social media that it would be reopening this spring: “Cheers everyone! We’ve got great news. Happy to announce that The Comus Inn will return Spring of 2024. More details coming soon. Make sure to stay connected here for the latest updates and opening date! #sugarloafmountain” The restaurant is also currently hiring for all positions.

The previous version of the Comus Inn was opened on October 28th, 2020 by Doug Yurechko, who transformed the Inn into a beer garden with a new menu created by Chef Sammy D. The version before that closed in January 2020. The Comus Inn itself dates back to 1862 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

We will provide an update when additional information is available.
