7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint


Montgomery County Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred March 19 in Wheaton.

Per the news release: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed robbery of the 7-Eleven store on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the 11400 block of Georgia Ave. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that at approximately 12:08 a.m., two suspects entered the store. Suspect one approached an employee while holding a handgun and demanded money from the cash registers, while suspect two was standing by the side door. When the employee opened the cash registers, suspect one removed the cash drawer with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. Suspect one handed the drawer to suspect two. Suspect one then grabbed a second cash drawer. Both suspects then left the scene.

Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspects.

Suspect one is described as a Black male in his early twenties, approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall, with a thicker build and wearing all black clothing to include black gloves and a black ski mask, sunglasses and gray New Balance shoes armed with a handgun.

Suspect two is described as a Black male, in his early twenties, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall, with a heavier build and wearing a black Nike sweatshirt, Nike sweatpants, black Nike shoes, and a blue surgical mask.
