The Commanders have the second pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and it’s almost certain that the team will be drafting its future quarterback with the pick. With less than two weeks until the draft, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter seems to believe the pick will be Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels out of LSU.

Schefter joined the “Trap or Drive” Podcast this week (episode available to view below), where he stated that Commanders fans can “go get those Jayden Daniels jerseys” meaning he believes the Commanders will be selecting Daniel’s over UNC’s Drake Maye with the second pick in the draft.

Daniels played college football at Arizona State for three seasons before transferring to LSU in 2022. He won the Heisman Trophy and several other awards in 2023 after throwing for 40 touchdowns and over 3,800 yards, while rushing for 10 touchdowns and over 1,100 yards.
