DC Party Box is bringing a drive-thru trick or treating event to Rockville on Friday October 30th and Saturday, October 31st, 2020.

This event is as “2020” as it gets and allows you to drive through a completely contactless and interactive trick or treat spooktacular, with many spooky surprises to look forward to.


Downtown Crown

Things have been relatively quiet on the retail side of the Downtown Crown neighborhood in Gaithersburg recently, but we do have two updates for you.

Le’Mer Salon & Spa at 125 Ellington Blvd recently closed permanently and has been cleared out. There is currently no word on what might take its place.


Boyds

The October 2020 Open House for the historic one-room Boyds Negro School (1895-1936), at 19510 White Ground Road, is tomorrow (Sunday, 10/25).

The open house will take place between 2pm and 4pm. Masks are required for participation i the event and one family or group, consisting of no more than 6 people, will be allowed inside at a time.

Where Do the Raked Leaves go in Montgomery County? A Leaf’s Tale.

Every autumn, Montgomery County becomes a sea of red, orange, and brown as trees prepare for the chilly weather ahead. And every good neighbor brings out their rakes and leaves their leaf piles neaty on the edge of their yard. Thanks to MCDOT’s Leaf Vacuum Program, all raked leaves are collected and out of sight. But where do the leaves go?
