Last August we let you know that Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar is coming to 7401 Woodmont Ave, It will be taking over the space that was home to Cesco Osteria for a decade until it closed earlier in 2023. The space was also previously home to national chain McCormick & Schmick’s until the restaurant closed in the summer of 2011. Now, the restaurant is offering a $20 gift card ahead of its opening.

WRS, Inc. submitted a Schematic Development Plan application SDP-9736-2024 proposing to redevelop the existing Lakeforest Mall property with 1,600 residential units, 750,000 square feet of employment uses, 250,000 square feet of large format retail, and 220,000 square feet of commercial uses. A Joint Public Hearing with the Mayor and City Council and Planning Commission has been scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2024 at 7:30 P.M. The joint public hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers at 31 South Summit Avenue.

The Rockville City Police Department has announced that charges have been filed against Ritchie Park Elementary School Principal Andrew Winter for a February incident involving a student.

New program uses modern technology to tell stories of the past  

Montgomery Parks is celebrating the debut of a new interactive digital history experience at Oakley Cabin African American Museum and Park. The family friendly event will include refreshments and a brief speaking program, after which the public is invited to experience the innovativeaugmented reality (AR) technology and tour the historic site.
