A police investigation has closed MD-355 Rockville Pike in both directions between Bou Avenue and Rollins Avenue/Twinbrook Parkway, according to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh.
Locally Crafted will reopen at its new location (9 Grand Corner Ave.) in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront on Wednesday, May 1st. The store closed its previous storefront on December 24th, 2023. The new location has taken over the space that was recently home to Francesca’s.

MCPS hosted nearly 1,000 volunteers, lawmakers and county leaders on April 22 for the Resilience, Education, Action, Climate, Habitat (REACH) Hub groundbreaking ceremony and Earth Day volunteer event at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School.
MCPS is hosting this year’s Special Education Family Resource Fair on Saturday, May 11 at Montgomery Blair High School (51 University Blvd. East in Silver Spring). The free event will be held from 10am until 1pm, and is open to MCPS parents, staff and community members.
