Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will pilot girls’ flag football during the Fall 2024 season through a partnership with the Baltimore Ravens and Under Armour.

Normandie Farm Restaurant at 10710 Falls Rd, closed in June 2022. At the time it was expected that new ownership would be taking over with plans reopen the restaurant in late summer, but that didn’t occur. The space was taken over by DC’s H2-Collective, the group who recently reopened Comus Inn last week.
Last year, developers Bernstein Management and Finmarc Management pulled the first permits that will allow for construction to begin on the upcoming White Oak Town Center (12345 Columbia Pike). WeRateDogs is a popular Twitter/X account that rates people’s dogs on a scaled of 1-10 (with just about every dog exceeding the maximum rating) along with a humorous comment about the dog. The account was started in 2015 by college student Matt Nelson, and this week’s YouTube video included a dog from Rockville, MD coming in at #1 (full video below).
According to the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, “Montgomery County has activated a Hypothermia Alert for extreme cold from 2am Monday, 4/22 until 8am Monday, 4/22. Expect the wind chill to be below 32 degrees. Wear layers if you go outside. Take extra precautions if you spend significant time outdoors”
At approximately 7:58 pm on Sunday night, Takoma Park Police responded to the area of Maple Avenue and Sligo Creek Parkway for a report of a “personal injury collision.”
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories that are in effect for portions of the area from 2am tonight through 8am Monday morning.
