Calling all artists! The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center is looking for your help to create a unique and vibrant art installation for its outdoor pool. Per the social media posting, “This is a great opportunity for a professional artist to showcase their talent and make a lasting impact on the community.”
The highest-rated independent restaurant in Maryland, according to a new survey from OnDeck, is located right here in Montgomery County, Maryland. Gardenia’s Cafe, located at 8377 Snouffer School Rd. In Gaithersburg, opened in 2020 and has become a local favorite.
Mary Trammell has been the longtime owner of the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2 University Blvd W in Four Corners (Silver Spring). She is retiring and preparing to move out of state, but Montgomery County Police officers wanted to honor her before she left.

Dr. Sean Bahrami has signed on to bring Rockville Dental Suite to a prominent location in Rockville. According to a Maryland Newsletters report, dentist Sean Bahrami will opening Rockville Dental Suite at 1101 Wootton Parkway, where 4,000SF space was leased in the Rockville office building.
In December 2022, we let you know that Dunkin’ is continuing its massive expansion across the country and in MoCo, with an upcoming location coming to the Traville Village Center in Rockville. Permanent signage is now up as the location moves closer towards opening.

This past Saturday, the Richard Montgomery High School Girls’ Swim & Dive team followed up their first ever Metros win with their first ever State Championship.
Congratulations to Team Robo Mania! A group of 6th graders from Clarksburg including Anya Naga, Vihaan Shah, Saanvi Pandrapragada, Om Pawar, Kyra Parikh, and Arjun Prakash formed a First Lego League team this year and won the Championship Award in the qualifier round.
MCPS schools have recognized and celebrated black history month in recent weeks. In addition to Blair High School’s Sankofa show, students at Redland Middle School, South Lake Elementary School, and Fairland Elementary School are among the various schools MCPS has highlighted this month. See below:

Z&Z Manoushe Bakery (1111 Nelson St. in Rockville) specializes in manoushe- a flatbread consisting of a simple yeasted dough which can have a variety of different toppings. It may look like pizza… but the flavor and experience is entirely different.
