The McDonald’s located at 11564 Rockville Pike in North Bethesda has permanently closed, with signage removed on Thursday morning. A new McDonald’s is set to open at 11710 Rockville Pike, the former site of Arby’s (construction photos below).
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating the theft of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra from Wheaton Mall on December 19, 2024. Police have released suspect descriptions and surveillance photos, and are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to arrests. (more…)

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is urging residents to plan ahead and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or cannabis during the holiday season.
