Hyper Kidz Rockville, a new beach-themed indoor playground for kids at 7301 Calhoun Pl. #400, will hold its grand opening on Saturday, December 14. Hyper Kidz is located next to the old True Respite location in what’s technically Derwood, but often considered Rockville.
Signage is up for Merlo Furniture Designs at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The store will be located in the space previously occupied by Talbots, on the mall’s lower level.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location on Friday, December 13, 2024, starting at 10 p.m., focusing on enforcing impaired driving laws. The locations of checkpoints are selected based on statistics based on impaired driving arrests.
