Laura Lanham Named Rockville City Police Deputy Chief

Per the city of Rockville:

​Laura Lanham will be sworn in as the Rockville City Police Department's new Deputy Chief of Police ahead of the 7 p.m. Monday, July 15 meeting of the mayor and council.

She will be the highest ranking female ever in the Rockville Police Department.

Lanham has 28 years of law enforcement experience with the Montgomery County Police Department, most recently serving as an assistant chief overseeing the Patrol Services Bureau. She has served in numerous capacities as an executive officer with county police, including as director of the Criminal Investigations Division, the Legal and Labor Division, and the Policy and Planning Division. She also served as commander of the 4th District (Wheaton) and chief of the Investigative Services Bureau.
