Moco Couple Opens New Gym

Twenty years ago, Kevin Munoz would help his parents clean an office building in Gaithersburg after they worked their full time jobs. They simply called the job “the part time”.  Kevin would help his parents vacuum, take out the trash and any other work that was required to help ease the workload. Fast forward to today, he is now part owner (with his partner Demetra Eftimiades) of a 3,500-square-foot gym right next-door to this office building.

Kevin and his sister at 16031 Industrial Dr in Gaithersburg.

The gym, PEAKPT FITNESS is located at 16021 Industrial Drive Suite 6 (located off of Shady Grove, near Nordstrom Rack and Best Buy.) and is officially opening its doors to the public on May 21 2022.

Demetra and Kevin met at the Universities at Shady Grove whilst both were studying Exercise Science, and the two have been inseparable ever since. The duo are offering what they believe is the biggest thing that’s missing from the health and fitness industry today, a “habit based mindset shift and relationship based approach to reaching one’s fitness goals.” Eight years ago, Demetra went through a 50lbs weight loss transformation and her unique story has been featured in POPSUGAR, Washingtonian, Hot99.5, Bodybuilding.com, Train Magazine, and more. You can learn more about PEAKPT at www.peakpttraining.com.

Per PEAKPT:
PEAKPT offers everything from habit based weight loss programs, preparing athletes for college tryouts, to helping busy professionals become their healthiest, strongest, best versions of themselves. The gym also offers small group training programs for women only (beginner, intermediate, and advanced are all welcome), 1:1 private personal training, nutrition consultations, and online personal training for those who are always on the go or 1,000 miles away. Peak has worked with clients on a global scale, as far as China, Austria London, Australia, and more!

PEAKPT Fitness will officially open doors to the public at 16021 Industrial Drive Suite 6 Gaithersburg MD, 20877 on May 14th 2022.
