Per Montgomery County: County Executive Marc Elrich responded to the passage of the FY25 Operating and Capital Budgets by the County Council. Nearly 100 percent of the County Executive’s recommended operating budget was adopted. This $7.1 billion operating budget provided MCPS with its second-highest funding increase in history and made historic investments in providing more affordable housing, improving public safety, tackling climate change and ensuring equity.
