Per Montgomery County: County Executive Marc Elrich responded to the passage of the FY25 Operating and Capital Budgets by the County Council. Nearly 100 percent of the County Executive’s recommended operating budget was adopted. This $7.1 billion operating budget provided MCPS with its second-highest funding increase in history and made historic investments in providing more affordable housing, improving public safety, tackling climate change and ensuring equity. Olney, MD Art Gallery and Studio to present a Pop-Culture themed group Art Exhibit and Artists’ Alley event.

Highly Animated is a 2-month long celebration of the vibrant world of fan art. From classic JRPG nostalgia, to the latest anime obsessions, to amazing original characters, this exhibition will highlight the passion, creativity and talent within fan communities.

Back in January, Bao Bei at 11910 Parklawn Dr #O in Rockville temporarily closed to participate in a reality TV food competition. It has now been revealed that Bao Bei will be featured in the upcoming 17th season of Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race, premiering on June 30th.

Cousins Maine Lobster, a leading quick-service Maine lobster roll concept, previously announced the launch of their newest franchise market in Maryland when they opened their new food truck on August 18 at Streetcar 82 Brewing Company in Hyattsville, Maryland. Today, May 24th, they’ll be at the Olney Village Center (18330 Town Center Dr.) near IHOP until 7pm. They’ll be in Gaithersburg at 122 Kentlands Blvd from 11am-7pm on Tuesday, May 28th.
