Montgomery County has announced that the Olney Library (3500 Olney-Laytonsville Road) will be closed for an essential exterior assessment on Tuesday, February 27. The library is expected to reopen the next day.
Dog Haus Biergarten will open a new location at 1837 M St NW, DC on Monday, February 19th. This will be local Dog Haus franchisees Faizan and Adila Khan’s first location outside of Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) is seeking submissions for its annual “Heads Up, Phones Down” high school PSA video contest. There is an $800 grand prize for the winning video. Submissions are being accepted now through Feb. 29.

Hope Grows Child Development Center has opened its third location in the Montgomery County, Maryland region. Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Anthony Gomes, 26, of Silver Spring, Maryland, for unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle. He was arrested after the OnStar application tracked and disabled the vehicle.
