With many individuals weighing the option of opening a new credit card to increase their spending power this holiday season, the personal-finance company WalletHub has released its latest report on the States With the Most Credit Cards, highlighting areas where people may be more vulnerable to overspending or missing payments. Maryland came in ranked 9th in states with most credit cards.

Home sales across Montgomery County and Washington, D.C. dropped sharply in November, as rising inventory and ongoing economic uncertainty continued to shape the regional housing market, according to new data from the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR).

If you’ve seen the movie The Conspirator you know that George Andrew Atzerodt (alias Andrew Atwood), was one of the Lincoln assassination conspirators executed on July 7, 1865. Atzerodt was arrested in Germantown, the town where he had spent many years as a boy. How he got involved with the Booth gang and why he ended up back in Germantown is a compelling story.
