The Washington Commanders are bringing one of the area’s biggest football stars back home, signing Gaithersburg native and University of Maryland standout Stefon Diggs. The move gives quarterback Jayden Daniels another proven weapon alongside Terry McLaurin as Washington continues to bolster its offense. Nicki Jhabvala reports the deal is for one year and worth up to $12 million.

Montgomery County residents are coming together to support the family of William Vance Payne II, also known as Vance Payne, after the 58-year-old Virginia husband and father of five was killed Tuesday morning in a crash at the intersection of Clopper Road and Great Seneca Highway in Germantown.
