The Frederick County Health Department is warning residents about the presence of 5F-ADB, a dangerous and illegal synthetic cannabinoid also known as Spice or K2, found in products labeled “THC, Diazy La Ruse, Peufra The Tiger.” The drug can cause severe health effects or death, and the department urges anyone witnessing an overdose to administer Narcan and call 911 immediately. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has announced its Memorial Day schedule for Monday, May 26, with most services operating on a Sunday or holiday schedule, some routes suspended, free parking at public garages and meters, and no MARC or most MTA Commuter Bus service.

Maryland’s Attorney General joined a coalition of 16 attorneys general in opposing a proposed federal rule change that would weaken habitat protections under the Endangered Species Act by removing the definition of “harm” related to habitat degradation.
