Gaithersburg-based Remedy Plan Therapeutics (Remedy Plan), a privately-held, clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing novel, hyperbolic NAMPT inhibitors located at 704 Quince Orchard Rd., today announced the company has raised over $18 million in an oversubscribed insider financing round. The round includes participation from Schooner Capital and Alexandria Venture Investments. This brings the company’s total funding to date to $55 million.

Beyond MoCo

Jon Thompson, a Montgomery County native and Clarksburg High School graduate, has been in the restaurant industry since he was 16. In 2020, he created Fifty Fifty– a burger concept featuring patties made of half beef and half bacon– currently located inside Olde Mother Brewing at 526 N Market St in Frederick, MD. The 16th annual Gaithersburg Book Festival will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg. The event is free to attend, and free parking options are available but limited, so attendees are encouraged to use the recommended free shuttle service running continuously from 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. between the Montgomery County Fairgrounds (501 Perry Parkway) and the Shady Grove Metro Station (355 side). The Montgomery County Students Construction Trades Foundation and MCPS hosted an Open House in Silver Spring showcasing the ongoing construction of the 44th student-designed home, highlighting the hands-on work of over 300 high school students in trades like carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, with attendance from local leaders and industry partners.
