The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) arrested 37-year-old Joshua Tyrell Mundy for shoplifting and resisting arrest during a retail theft operation in downtown Silver Spring. Mundy was caught attempting to leave a CVS store with stolen items and fought with officers before being subdued with a taser and taken into custody. (more…)

A Silver Spring man was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for his role in an armed robbery at Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C., after pleading guilty to brandishing a firearm during the crime.
