Prince George’s County Executive-elect Aisha Braveboy named Dr. Shawn Joseph as interim superintendent of Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). Joseph previously served as PGCPS deputy superintendent for teaching and learning from 2014 – 2016.
Montgomery County Council will hold public hearings on June 24, July 8, and July 15, 2025, to gather public input on proposed supplemental budget appropriations, a White Oak development and financing plan, and zoning and map amendments, with opportunities for residents to testify in person or remotely.

During our Ocean City vacations, we often visit Dumser’s Dairyland for a frozen treat (pictured you’ll see cherry-dipped soft serve from earlier this week). The beloved Maryland institution has deep roots in Ocean City that began in 1939 when Mrs. Gladys Dumser started crafting and selling her delicious homemade ice cream on the boardwalk. Her commitment to quality and freshness paved the way for a legacy that has grown over the decades.
