Cycling enthusiasts in Washington DC and Montgomery County area have been embarking on a long-distance ride that stretches all the way to Pittsburgh. By connecting two distinguished trails– the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&O) Canal Towpath and the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP)– cyclists can experience a continuous, car-free route spanning approximately 334.5 miles without ever needing to ride on a road.

The WMATA Board of Directors approved a $4.957 billion capital and operating budget aimed toward improving service without raising fares. “The approved budget continues to fund Metro at levels where service is safe, frequent and reliable. In recent years, Metro has seen increased ridership thanks to those tenets and expects that trend to continue with additional Metrorail service and a revamped bus network coming in June.”

Regal is launching its Summer Movie Express with $1 movie tickets to the first show on Tuesdays and Wednesday. The summer event begins on Tuesday, June 10th and runs until Wednesday, August 6th at participating theaters including Regal Rockville and Regal Majestic in Silver Spring.
