The Town of Ocean City has officially passed new beach regulations prohibiting tents and limiting canopy use on its beaches, effective immediately. This ordinance “aims to enhance safety, improve visibility, and ensure a more enjoyable experience for all beachgoers.”
On Cloud 9, a popular specialty boutique known for its trendy and fashion-forward clothing and accessories, will close permanently after approximately 25 years in business at the end of this summer.

Gaithersburg residents will cast their ballots for Mayor and two City Council Members on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. All Council Members serve at-large. The terms of office for Mayor Jud Ashman and Council Members Lisa Henderson and Jim McNulty expire in November. The Mayor and City Council Members elected in 2025 will each serve a four-year term.
