Niche has released its “2025 Best Public Middle Schools” rankings based on “rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, middle school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.” The top 25 public middle schools in the state of Maryland, according to their list, can be seen below:

HIP Projects LLC submitted an amendment to its sketch plan application for “Block R” of The Spectrum at Watkins Mill, proposing the removal of the age restriction (age-restricted properties typically are reserved for a population that is 55 years of age and older), an increase in the number of dwelling units from 158 to 244, and raising the height limit from six stories to seven stories.

Maryland

On Tuesday, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown and a coalition of 20 state attorneys general filed a brief supporting the federal “Keeping Families Together” program, which allows certain undocumented family members of U.S. citizens to apply for permanent residency without leaving the country, emphasizing that family unity is a long-standing U.S. immigration policy.
