Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigative Unit are investigating a series of theft from autos that occurred from March 10 to March 15, 2023, at the parking lot of the Aspen Hill Club in the 14500 block of Homecrest Road.
On Friday, March 10, 2023, two victims parked their vehicles at the location. While the victims were inside the fitness center, the suspects forced entry into their vehicles. The suspects stole one of the victim’s personal belongings, including credit cards, from one of the vehicles. Several fraudulent transactions were then made with the stolen credit cards.
On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the suspects stole a second victim’s bank cards from her vehicle parked in the parking lot and used them at several locations to make fraudulent purchases. The suspects also broke into another vehicle and stole property belonging to that vehicle’s owner.
Detectives reviewed the motion sensor cameras equipped on a Tesla that had been parked at the location on March 10, 2023. The video footage shows the suspects arriving at the location in a dark colored Chrysler Pacifica bearing Indiana license plates FL248ACK. One of the suspects exited the Chrysler and began to look into vehicles.
The suspect that exited the Chrysler is described as a Black male, in his twenties, wearing a black winter hat, a black jacket, a black sweatshirt, light blue jeans, a black glove on his right hand and black flip flops. Currently, there is no description on the other suspect(s) that were inside the Chrysler. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers may remain anonymous.
