The Frederick-Gaithersburg-Bethesda region has once again been recognized as one of the most arts-vibrant communities in the United States, marking a decade of consistent national recognition. SMU DataArts, the National Center for Arts Research, released its 10th annual Arts Vibrancy Index ranking and placed the Frederick-Gaithersburg-Bethesda region at No. 24 among 100 core based statistical areas for 2025.

One of the best pizzas i’ve ever had, and my top pizza from all of 2025, is located in Frederick, MD. The crazy part is, this pizza isn’t coming out of a traditional storefront. What’s even crazier, is it’s so exclusive, there are only eight pizzas made each week. What started as a passion project has turned into one of the most anticipated weekly drops at Bussin Pizza.

Nearly 40 years ago, the WWF (now WWE) ran a house show at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland, in January 1988, just a couple months before WrestleMania IV. Lifelong Montgomery County resident Gus Moshovitis remembers taking the 30-minute drive to watch some of his favorite superstars go at it in one of the smaller venues you’d catch the WWF in at that time.
