Starting Feb. 9, the City of Frederick will begin phasing out all physical on-street parking meters in downtown Frederick as part of a broader effort to modernize the city’s parking system. The news was recently shared by City of Frederick Government.

The Applebee’s located at 5613 Spectrum Drive in Frederick will close permanently on Monday, a representative for the restaurant confirmed, with Frederick County’s first Raising Cane’s as the replacement. The sole Montgomery County location in Germantown will continue to operate normally.
