Earlier this week, the Starvin Marvin’s Pizzeria & Grille (6942 Crestwood Blvd.) shared an update on social media clarifying that the previously announced sale of the business is currently on hold. According to the owners, the deal is now “in limbo” due to circumstances beyond their control, but the Frederick store remains open and operating.

Ekiben is expanding beyond Baltimore for the first time, with a new Frederick location aiming for a March opening, according to Frederick City Media. Neighboring Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) announced this past week that it is launching a classroom camera pilot program in select specialized program classrooms, a move that may draw interest from families and educators in surrounding school systems, including Montgomery County. Starvin Marvin’s Pizzeria & Grille has announced that it will close after 38 years in business, bringing a close to a well-known local brand with deep roots in Gaithersburg and Frederick. The owners shared the news in an emotional social media message titled “The End of Our Era,” saying they are ready to step away from the pizza business after nearly four decades.
