The annual Kentlands Bar Crawl saw record participation this year, with approximately 150 attendees coming together to raise funds for a good cause. A founder of Maryland’s Muslim community, Mrs. Sakina A. Mohammed, wife of (late) Dr. Azizali F. Mohammed, died peacefully at home on 3:12 pm on Friday October 3, 2025 at age 92. She was the beloved mother of Zeba (Stephen), Afroze, Arshad (Lois), and Mehnaz (Mini) and sister of Mr. Amin Nathani.

Amina Jehan Baig, a pioneering philanthropist and beloved pillar of Montgomery County’s Muslim community, passed away on Sunday at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She died at home in Burtonsville under hospice care, surrounded by family and friends.
